Meet Dr. Adam Postmus
SW Calgary Location
As someone who’s been highly active his entire life, Dr. Adam always wanted to be involved in some aspect of sports in terms of career. He initially went to university for athletic therapy, but through his schooling, he realized becoming an athletic therapist wasn’t for him.
Education & Certification
Toward the end of completing his bachelor’s at the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Dr. Adam planned to either go to school for physiotherapy or attend chiropractic college. He chose the latter, attending Palmer College of Chiropractic – West Campus in San Jose, earning his Doctor of Chiropractic in December 2017. For him, having the ability to live in California next to the 49ers stadium was a huge draw!
Dr. Adam also earned a Certificate in Concussion Management from Complete Concussion Management Inc. (CCMI). Currently, he’s working toward becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
A Passion for Helping Athletes
Growing up in British Columbia, Dr. Adam played a lot of hockey. He also enjoyed skiing in the winter and playing soccer all year. He loves to help athletes of all ages and levels perform at their best.
Besides providing chiropractic adjustments, Dr. Adam offers various types of rehabilitation services. Often, he will spend time with his patients, showing them some exercises or how to do a program at the gym. “I want to equip them with tools to fix themselves, without always being reliant on me in the clinic.”
Joining the Practice Team
Dr. Adam has always worked in multidisciplinary practices and loves it. He likes to have fresh eyes on challenging problems and collaborate with other practitioners with different training to figure out how to best help the patient. Dr. Adam is excited to be part of the Complete Health Chiropractic & Massage team and work in a brand-new clinic and new area for him.
Enjoying an Active Family Life
Outside the practice, Dr. Adam always tries to stay active. He plays soccer and hockey, skis during the winter, and stays active in the gym, between either CrossFit or strength training. He also loves spending time with his wife and their young daughter. Going to the mountains with his wife and their two dogs is another favorite activity.
